The Philadelphia Phillies first week of Spring Training games seem to be shaping up a lot like the regular season. Specifically, the starting pitching rotation. The first five Grapefuit League games will feature a rotation of:
Cole Hamels, Saturday vs. Houston Astros
Roy Halladay, Sunday at Detroit Tigers
Cliff Lee, Monday vs. Tigers
Kyle Kendrick, Tuesday vs. New York Yankees
John Lannan, Wednesday at Minnesota Twins
Pitching coach Rich Dubee has yet to make any commitments about who will start on opening day against the Atlanta Braves. Earlier this week, he said that he would start Hamels, Halladay, and Lee and that he planned on splitting Hamels and Lee with a right hander. Hamels had the best season of the three and will likely get the Opening Day nod.
